The Royal Danish Embassy in Belgrade has agreed to support the 9th School of Security Sector Reform, to take place 23 to 27 April 2007 in Belgrade. The School will be co-supported by the Danish Ministry of Defence and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Royal Danish Embassy in Belgrade. The Embassy will assist the ISAC Fund in bringing a Danish expert to help in transferring knowledge on specific topics to the School participants.
This will be the first time a partner country has decided to support the School project for the second time. The Danish Government (Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Royal Danish Embassy in Belgrade) has already supported the 5th School of SSR, organised by the DSSC – ISAC Fund’s precursor. The ISAC Fund team is grateful for this decision and believes that the upcoming support is tangible proof that the School project – and its implementation – are recognised and valued by our donors, just as they are by the Serbian institutions and participants benefiting from this initiative.
The upcoming School, a five day intensive educational program for young leaders, professionals and practitioners in security affairs, remains one of the most notable education initiatives for security sector reform in Serbia today.
