ISAC Fund announces competition “Meet Europe in Denmark”

ISAC Fund, in cooperation with the European Movement in Serbia, and with the kind support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark, announces a competition for 3rd grade high school students entitled “Meet Europe in Denmark”. The project will enable a group of 50 high school students from entire Serbia to spend a week in Denmark, learning about Danish institutions, educational system, culture and its people.

The main reason for organizing this project has been the fact that the vast majority of young people in Serbia have never had the opportunity to travel abroad. The signing of the new Visa Facilitation Agreement between Serbia and the EU and the initialising of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement are important political steps towards the EU that have created a positive atmosphere that needs to be used to make the Union more visible and tangible for people here in Serbia.

The main goals of the project are to:

  1. Make the idea of EU more concrete.
  2. Create diversity in the young people’s conception of other European countries.
  3. Broaden the knowledge of the institutional structures of an EU country.
  4. Introduce Serbian students to Denmark, its culture and its people.
