Fostering Policy Dialogue: TRAIN Programme

From June 6 – 10, 2011, two ISAC Fund researchers attended a capacity-building workshop in Berlin, organized by DGAP, the Research Institute of the German Council on Foreign Relations. ISAC presented a policy paper draft on the current practices and policy options for the improvement of Serbian-Albanian trade and economic relations.

The workshop was the second regional policy dialogue meeting with the think-tank representatives from Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia. ISAC Fund researchers, along with other participants, also had the opportunity to hold discussions with relevant actors from the German policy sphere.

The final wrap-up seminar scheduled to take place in Brussels, in September, will allow the participating think-tanks to present their findings to EU decision-makers, establish contacts with relevant actors in Brussels, and receive input and advice on the dissemination of the results to national policy-makers.
