Although in different conditions and more difficult circumstances, ISAC has successfully organized its 6th annual seminar for young leaders!
The seminar was organized in Vrsac from 14 to 16 October, 2020. This year, due to the situation with the Covid 19 pandemic, the number of participants was reduced in order to meet all security measures regarding gatherings.
The seminar was opened by Ms. Mateja Norčič Štamcar, who addressed participants via video link and gave speech about the challenges that the EU and the Western Balkans have faced during pandemic. After that, the participants talked about the media scene in Serbia, disinformation and fake news with Saša Mirković – one of the founders of RTV B92, media consultant and former state secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Information. Cyber security and Interconnectivity was presented through an interesting presentation and dynamic discussion by Adel Abusara, renowned expert in the field.
Future young leaders had the opportunity to see and experience what the process of Serbia’s harmonization with the EU’s foreign policy declarations and measures looked like, through an excellent lecture and simulation led by Vladimir Ateljević, a member of Serbia’s negotiating team for EU accession talks. One of the indispensable lectures that we insist on is related to the way we present ourselves and write our CV. This presentation and workshop was led by Svetlana Stefanović, Program Coordinator at the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (BFPE) and Executive Director of the Belgrade Security Forum (BSF).
We would like to thank to all participants and speakers on their great contribution and excellent cooperation! Special thanks to our partners from European Western Balkans (EWB) for following the entire seminar.
