As part of our multiyear program that deals with the Common Foreign and Security Policy and its influence on Serbia’s EU accession process, ISAC Fund is organizing its 3rd expert conference on the tendencies and perspectives within this field, as well as the positioning of Serbia in the development of its common foreign, security and defence approach to the EU. The conference will be held on December 6th, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade.
Besides ISAC’s yearly high level spring CFSP conference, we also organize smaller expert based CFSP events, such as this one, which usually take place at the end of autumn. With constant developments within the foreign and defence policy fields, it is important to make sure that such topics are closely followed and elaborated on, especially if they appear in the media without much context and background.
This year, the main focus of the conference will be on Serbia’s alignment with the EU’s approach on topics related to Chapter 31 (Common Foreign, Security and Defence policy). Furthermore, issues and challenges that affect directly the formulation of a common position which deals with security and defence in Europe, such as hybrid threats and cyber security, will be thoroughly discussed.
As in the previous years, there will be representatives of the Government of Serbia, representatives of the expert community from Serbia and from several EU Member States.
