Brutal words are coming from Kremlin! Putin’s man accused Zelensky: he got a little carried away… – Ukraine is a weapons testing ground

In the online edition of the daily newspaper Informer, close to the authorities in Serbia, an article appeared in which it is claimed that the war in Ukraine is just a training ground and an opportunity for the West to test its weapons. Informer conveys the writings of the Serbian version of Sputnik, which, especially since the beginning of the war, translates almost every statement made by officials in the Kremlin, and which fits into some of the dominant narratives that attempt to present Russian aggression against Ukraine as legitimate.

In this case, the statement of the deputy head of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Ivan Nechayev, is transmitted. He stated that the “Ukrainian authorities got carried away with their military adventures”, but that “time is playing against Kiev”.

Further, Informer reports that Nechayev believes that it should be particularly noted that a part of the West uses labels such as “terrorist state” and “terrorist regime” to mark “undesirable countries that do not correspond to their perverted ideas about democracy and human rights, and then they are referring to those same labels in order to give legitimacy to coercive measures that are contrary to the imperative principles of sovereign equality and non-interference in the internal affairs as provided by the UN Charter”.

“It is not surprising that in the conditions of the hybrid war initiated by the West, similar accusations of state terrorism are being made against our country,” Nechayev said, adding that the joint steps of the Western countries and the Ukrainian authorities confirm the imperative of accomplishing the tasks of the special military operation.

“The actions of the collective West and its Kiev puppet regime confirm the unconditional imperative to achieve the goals and objectives of the special military operation. All of them will certainly be accomplished,” concluded Nechayev.

In addition, in order to support Nechayev’s claims, Informer allegedly refers to the statements of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister for Politiko, who admits that “the leadership of Ukraine demonstrates a purely militant attitude”, without a word about any cessation of combat activities or a truce. For the purpose of writing this text, we could not find such statement from the Ukrainian Minister.

This text is just one of those in which the statements of lower, certainly less politically relevant actors from the Kremlin are conveyed. The reason for this is that they support already existing narratives which are trying to justify the aggression against Ukraine. In the specific text, the most dominant narrative is that the actions of Ukraine and the West, seen during the war, justify the reasons why Russia began aggression against Ukraine.
