Meet Europe in Poland 2011

ABOUT THE PROJECT ISAC Fund, with the kind support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and the Embassy of Poland in Belgrade, is announcing a new open competition for 3rd grade high school students from Serbia. The program will allow the group of 13 students to spend a week in Poland learning about EU institutions, the Polish educational system, culture, and its people. The trip to Poland will take place from September 18 – 24th, 2011. By applying for the membership in the European Union, Serbia has made an important political step on its road towards European integration. This process requires understanding and support of future young leaders of this country, and their active engagement. For these reasons, ISAC continues with its activities in young people’s education through direct learning experience of EU member states functioning, its culture and lifestyle. In this regard, visiting Poland, as one of the most populous states and the presiding of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2011., represents an exceptional and unique opportunity for program participants. Students will have the opportunity to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Parliament, various government institutions, a local high school where they will meet their peers and participate in classroom activity, plus take part in various cultural activities.
