Russian Vision of European Security and Serbia

ISAC Fund published new analysis by Zarko Petrovic Research Director of ISAC Fund Russian Vision of European Security and Serbia The overall conclusion of the analysis is that Serbia started to formulate balanced policy regarding the Initiative of the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for adopting the New European Security Treaty. Serbia should continue with this policy, because a country wishing to become an EU candidate country cannot conduct independent international security policy. This initiative is essentially directed towards improving Russian security. Serbia should follow the EU policy regarding this Initiative, and prove thereby to the "enlargement sceptics" in the EU countries that it is, in fact, not a "Russian proxy" in the Balkans.
